This week, we completed and handed off the smallest new home we’ve ever undertaken in our 20+ year history. While the space is small, we absolutely loved building this thoughtfully-designed and creative project for its new owner.
The home is located on a gorgeous lake view lot in the North Shuswap. Our client wanted to simplify her life in retirement, but not skimp on her comfort or compromise her serene setting. The end result is a 725 square foot West Coast home that feels spacious despite its small footprint.
The reasons are many, from the vaulted ceiling (which you can see in the kitchen photo above) and large wraparound veranda for three season living, to the exceptional use of space — for example, a built-in Murphy bed converts the living room into a bedroom to accommodate visiting friends and family.
Needless to say, our client was ecstatic to receive the keys to her brand new home. As with all of our clients, it was a privilege to build her Shuswap dream!
