This week, over in Magna Bay, we’re handing off an incredible new home to its proud owners.
Without a doubt, this project has been one of our most challenging and satisfying new builds ever.
We actually started this project back in March of 2023 for clients who had contracted us a few years earlier to build a shop/carriage home on the property. Their ultimate vision for their beautiful lakefront property was the addition of a two-level, 3,500 square foot West Coast beauty, complete with swimming pool and four car garage.
By summer of 2023, we were well into the project – but things came to a crashing halt when last year’s wildfires completely restricted access to the site.
Undaunted, we got back to work late in 2023, as soon as we could gain site access. And that’s when we started with the home’s many exceptional custom finishes and features – for example, a 300 square foot four season room with expansive retractable glass doors on three sides, extensive use of decorative beams and natural stone, metal siding, tiled swimming pool, and so much more.
We couldn’t be happier with the finished product, and our clients feel exactly the same way – in fact, they’ve granted permission for us to enter the home in the annual Canadian Home Builders’ Association Keystone Awards. That means, in the next few weeks, we’ll be having the entire home professionally photographed to support our entry.
