Over in Anglemont, it’s all about the finishing as one of our most ambitious new builds is nearing completion.
We started this gorgeous North Shore West Coast home just prior to last year’s catastrophic wildfires. We were forced to put the project on hold during the fire cleanup, but we were able to pick up where we left off last fall. A year later, we’re working hard on the finishing touches. Cabinets are being installed throughout the house, and lighting, plumbing, and HVAC finishing is in the final stages. Closet shelving, mirrors, and shower glass doors are also being installed.
This home has incredible custom finishes. For example, in the photo of the kitchen above, check out the pendants hanging above the huge island — they’re made of concrete and weigh about 30 kilos each! Other custom finishes include an epoxy garage floor, and extensive use of polished stucco throughout the home, including the hood fan that’s also in the photo above.
Polished stucco is incredibly versatile finishing product that is gaining a lot of traction in high-end homes. The polished stucco company we contracted for this work is actually called Polished Stucco, and it’s based in Vancouver. Outside, landscaping is underway, as is a large amount of masonry.
Our goal is to have our clients moved in to enjoy their first Christmas in their beautiful home this year.
