Chip Off the Old Block

In Celista, we’re in the final finishing stages of beautiful new 2,300 square foot rancher. Our painters have been onsite for the past two week, spraying doors and trim, and final coating walls. But the focus of this update is on the 14-foot vault in the great room, which is being beautifully completed with the addition of stunning decorative wood beams.

Up on the scaffolding doing this work is our own finishing specialist, Chuck Beaton. But he’s not alone. Recently, Chuck’s son Koda returned from university to the Shuswap for the summer. And as summer is our busiest time here at Copper Island, we put him to work immediately with his dad. This type of work requires more than one set of hands, and Koda is doing a great job helping out Chuck with this project. You can see the family duo hard at work in the two photos above.

Once they’ve completed the wood beams, flooring and and masonry will follow into June. We’re aiming to hand over this gorgeous home to its new owners, who are retiring to the Shuswap, right around the middle of July so they can spend their first full summer in our our beautiful area.
