Kathy Moore, our Office Manager/Estimator for the past 11 years here at Copper Island Fine Homes, might be small in stature. But she leaves big shoes to fill as she officially retires.
Kathy played a huge role in our front office, particularly in the areas of estimating and permitting. In the past year, she has opted for reduced hours as she moved towards retirement. Last month, she decided it was the right time to take the full plunge and embark on the retirement chapter of her life.
“She will be greatly missed,” says Marcus Picton, Copper Island Fine Homes owner and CEO. “Her work ethic and contribution to company systems and procedure has been greatly valued. On a personal level, I will miss seeing her regularly. But as with all of her coworkers, I am also happy that she gets the chance to enjoy a well-deserved retirement and the opportunity to pursue her interest in bowling.”
Kathy says she hopes to move into Salmon Arm, get a smaller place and just enjoy a simpler and more relaxed life.
“We knew Kathy has been hoping to list and sell her house quickly, but has been overwhelmed by all the yardwork needed to ready her home for marketing,” explains Marcus. “So yesterday, as a mark of appreciation for her dedication and years of service, our entire staff went over to her house and blitzed the yard to get it ready for her. When we were done, we all hung out and had a nice BBQ and drinks with Kathy. It was really nice to hang out all together and she really appreciated it!”
We sincerely hope that Kathy has a smooth transition and look forward to hearing about her new adventures.
