This October, Copper Island Fine Homes celebrates 20 years of building our clients’ Shuswap dreams.
From humble beginnings, our company has established itself as the Shuswap’s leading custom home builder and renovator.
It all started back in 2004, when locals Greg Vistisen and Cliff Bridges built and sold their first spec home on Golf Course Drive. Market conditions were excellent at the time, and the company built several more homes. In 2006, Greg took over the company and began the expansion into custom homes and renovations. Along the way, he embraced modern building practices and a commitment to excellence, and the company began to notch prestigious accolades each year at the annual local Canadian Home Builders Association awards event.
In 2021, General Manager Marcus Picton and his wife Sylvia completed the process of buying Copper Island Fine Homes.
“It’s been an amazing experience,” says Marcus, who originally hails from the UK and spent a decade building homes in Calgary prior to moving to the Shuswap in 2020. “When Greg decided to sell the company, we didn’t hesitate, as it was clear that the company was immensely successfully and had developed an excellent reputation as the go-to builder in our area. We’ve never looked back.
