    • Home Stretch on the North Shuswap

      September 25, 2019

As we transition from summer to fall, we’re making good progress on this beautiful West Coast home on the North Shore. We’re into the final stages of finishing, and hope to deliver the final product to our clients well ahead of winter weather.

Drywall boarding, mudding and sanding has been completed, allowing us to proceed with painting on both floors. Cabinetry and flooring installations are both on the schedule for the next few weeks. Interior doors and finishing trims are currently in production and we expect delivery any time. Light fixtures are also expected any day, which will allow to complete the electrical finishing. Closets have been measured, and installation will take place after the flooring finalizes.

Outside, the HardiPlank siding is complete, and the exterior masonry stone is 75 percent complete. Deck screens have been measured and are in production. Side-mounted glass deck railings are also in production and will be installed shortly. Garage doors are onsite and scheduled for install as soon as the masonry work is completed.

Septic tank and field have been installed, along with driveway rock retraining walls. A comprehensive landscaping plan is currently being finalized, and work will commence shortly.

We are still a few weeks behind schedule due to winter weather and challenging site conditions, but we’re working hard to catch up.

With its lake views and its stunning design and finishing, this is truly an outstanding home—one that we look forward to entering in the annual Canadian Home Builder Association Keystone awards. Our thanks to our clients for their hard work and exceptional vision.
