We're making excellent progress on new shop and storage building in Celista for clients from Alberta. We squeezed the project into our busy summer schedule so that the property owners would have storage space for their boat and toys this coming winter.
Our foreman, Dean Friesen, reports that the shop's roof and walls have been sheeted, and the metal roofing can now be installed.
In the last few days, rebar and poly were installed, and subsequently the concrete slab was poured and polished. Sealer was then applied, and control cuts were then completed.
Our electrical subcontractor completed the rough ins prior to the slab being poured, and that's allowing us to proceed with insulation and drywall beginning as soon as possible. The overhead doors and exterior door have been ordered, and we'll be installing those as soon as they arrive on site.
All of this means we're now ahead of schedule on this project, and that's good news, as we'll be able to deliver the final product well in time to allow the clients to bring their toys in for this winter.
