Copper Island Fine Homes has a reputation for building the area’s largest and most luxurious homes. But that doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy small projects as well—from renovations to garages and toy sheds, which is exactly what we’re building for Calgarians who have a summer home in Scotch Creek.
The clients were hoping to have a storage building constructed in time for the fall, and the modest size of the project meant that were able to fit them into our busy schedule.
The project kicked off with zoning reviews and permit applications. We then located a suitable shop plan and arranged for some custom modifications.
Recently, we completed the excavation and poured footings for the projects. Foundation walls will be next, followed by framing. Garage doors, windows and exterior door have been ordered, as have metal roofing and siding.
In addition to providing storage for boats and recreational vehicles, the attic of the structure will also provide additional storage, thanks to specially-designed trusses and a 12 foot access ladder.
We’ll have no problem having the building completed in time for the clients to bring their toys in for this winter.
