Our thanks to all staff and sub-trades for their superb, above-and-beyond effort to bring a challenging project to completion on schedule last week.
The project was an extensive renovation of an existing home located near the Cinnemousun Narrows, beyond the end of Eagle Bay Road. The site has been extremely difficult to access, particularly throughout the winter and spring months. Our crews have had to push past this access challenge on a daily basis in order to bring the renovation to completion for our clients by July 19th.
The final few weeks have seen a whirlwind of activity. Outside, we’ve had lots of equipment on site to rehabilitate the access road and excavate the front yard in preparation for the new septic field. Landscapers have also been on site discussing options and scheduling. We’ve also worked hard to complete the lower deck, install a hot tub, and complete a beautiful outdoor sauna. Work has also been completed on the upper deck. Siding, soffits and gutters have also been finished.
Inside, all electrical and plumbing finishing was successfully completed. Cabinet and countertop installs were also accomplished on schedule. Hardwood and other flooring installs wrapped up, as did all finish carpentry. Closets, wall bed installation, and final painting was subsequently completed.
All of this was capped off with our trademark final cleaning in preparation for hand over to our clients, who are relocating from Europe.
“The location of this renovation, combined with some wetter than normal weather this spring, made this project a daily challenge for our staff and crews,” says Greg Vistisen, Copper Island Fine Homes CEO. “Despite this, we all worked together and pushed hard to bring this renovation largely to completion, on time. We’ll have a few finishing touches and upgrades to complete over the coming weeks, but thanks to the dedication of our staff and sub-trades, we’ve again accomplished our mission of delivering a quality renovation on time, and on budget.”
